After two decades working in clinic with real women, Renee Hohaia heard the same story over and over: confusion, overwhelm and frustration. The skincare aisle was crowded with products, promises and trends, yet clarity and results often felt out of reach.
“I wanted to help the hundreds of clients who felt completely lost in all the choices out there,” Renee says. “Skincare had become noisy. People were relying on TikTok advice, hearsay or trial and error — when what they really needed was guidance from someone who understands skin.”
Renee’s approach has always been rooted in science, experience and care. She’s tested and studied countless products over the years, learning what works - and what doesn’t - through real-world trial, observation and consultation. That knowledge became the foundation for arké: a brand that strips away the clutter and returns skincare to what it should be - supportive, effective and empowering.
“Even though I’ve felt overwhelmed by all the options myself, that’s exactly when I realised I needed to create something for real skin and real life,” Renee explains. “It’s not about following trends. It’s about creating a system grounded in clinical knowledge, designed to deliver results and make people feel confident in their own skin.”
The journey to creating arké wasn’t without challenges. There were roadblocks along the way, but each one reinforced Renee’s commitment to her clients. Every formulation, every ingredient, every routine is driven by their needs and concerns - built from a place of compassion, care and respect.
